Children's Museum

Took Conner to the Children's Museum this morning. I have to say, the Wizard of Oz exhibit is pretty darn cool. I enjoyed it immensely - where else can you make your voice sound like a munchkin without needing helium?

Conner at the entrance to the exhibit.

Conner under the rainbow we built. Two seconds later, a little kid knocked it over. Oh well....

Riding the witch's bike!

Climbing the wall of the witch's fortress....watch out for flying monkeys!

State Fair

This year we are hitting the State Fair twice - once with each child. Figured it was easier than taking them both at once - they are far enough apart that the youngest can't do everything the oldest can and this seemed a recipe for disaster. So we dropped Conner off at Gopher Camp and took Collin to the State Fair.

An amusing fact - we parked at a business on Larpenter and Snelling that rents out it's lot for Fair goers - not so unusual, but we laughed at how they have different prices (and signs) for different times of the day. When we arrived, about 8:30, it was $10. When we left, about 12:30, it was $20. Then as I returned to pick up Conner about 4:30, I noticed $15. I wonder if they have an alarm clock that goes off and reminds them it's time to change the signs??

Here's Collin on his tractor at the Little Hands Farm.

Dan and Collin - it's the cows man!

BIG Sunflowers! And a pail full of stuff.

He liked the merry-go-round....

Not so sure about the motorcycle.....

But definitely liked the race car. We didn't get a photo of him on his last ride - the airplanes. He DEFINITELY didn't like that one. Cried through most of it. But then we bought him some french fries and all was right in the world again. He asks to go back every day. "Fair???"
