Great October Weekend
Had a great weekend - Conner had his first theater class of the Fall season at Steppingstone Theater on Saturday AM (How to Be a Ninja) and later in the afternoon he went to a birthday party for his friend Max. They went to Como Town and had a great time on the rides, to Carbones for pizza (and rootbeer as he happily told me) and then back to Max's house for ice cream cake. Collin and I enjoyed a nice afternoon, played tennis in the evening and then walked to Pizza Luce for dinner. The only dark spot was Dan finding that my car had no transmission fluid - despite the fact that I brought it in 2 weeks ago for a full check and they claim to have drained and refilled it. I have an appt there tomorrow, we'll see!
Today I took the boys to Franconia Sculpture park, off Hwy 8 and 95. Very fun place! They boys had a great time running around, we had a picnic lunch (although we had to eat part in the car due to assertive bees) and then drove along 95 through Marine on St. Croix and Stillwater. Beautiful day for that drive! I'm sure the boys were tired of me telling them to look at the various trees.

This is a playground constructed entirely from scraps - pretty neat!
This was Collin's favorite - it's some type of bomb - not sure why he found it so appealing - hopefully not some type of dark foreshadowing!
This was Conner's favorite - of course, Halloween approaches, so he loves skeletons!
I thought this one was funky and cool - big wooden balls in a cage - wonder if it's too big for my back yard?
